From the East
With July 4th here and, as it was called Independence Day, I thought it would be an appropriate time to pass on to you the meaning of the Officers ties that I presented to elected and appointed officers. RED is for the blood shed for you and I, WHITE is for the eyes of those that fight for our freedom, BLUE is for the bruise of those that come back bruised and battered and their families, EAGLE is for the power and the ability to soar free so we remain free, SQUARE & COMPASSES are for our world wide brotherhood of Masons, and the G is for the light that shines from the Great architect of the universe who guides us with his faith and practices.
Grand Lodge was quite interesting and enjoyable with everything going smoothly. I was appointed District Chairman for Perpetual Membership and Zone 6 Chairman for Youth Activities. W Chuck Hamm will be traveling with RW Boog Powell in the 23rd District. Sean Fontaine and I will be traveling with RW Woody Newcom in the 22nd District. We welcome Woody Newcom of Palma Ceia Lodge No. 290 as our new District Deputy Grand Master for the 22nd District.
Brothers while Eastern Star, Amaranth, and White Shrine are dark I would like to call on those that can help finish the bathroom renovation during the next 2 months. We will be taking the existing toilets out, patching the plaster walls, painting and installing the new toilets. Work days will be 2nd & 4th Saturdays in July and August.
Bothers and Sisters as you can see we are making progress on the renovation and if you come to Lodge, check it out. Most of the time has been spent on the bathrooms off the lobby and we still have 2 more bathrooms to go along with the lobby and hall carpet removal but to finish these it will take another $1500—$2000 to complete both projects in addition to what we have raised so far. As mentioned in the Masters article about work days in July and August, The Lodge needs yard work done like grass mowed, weed eating, bushes trimmed and picking up any trash around the building. We cannot hire this work done as it would be too expensive. So I ask for your help to make this Masonic facility a place to be proud of since so many people use this building.
Thanks in advance,

Shriners Hospitals for Children- Northern California
The Brothers of Fellowship Lodge #265 F. & A.M in Tampa, Florida would like to make this small donation to your hospital in an effort to help raise money to offset the unexpected increase in the number of children you are caring for after the tragedy that happen in Mexico on June 5th.
We have also extended out to our other Masonic Lodges, Orders, and Appending Bodies with hope that they will do the same to this hospital or the other two burn hospitals.
On behave of the entire Lodge we appreciate the hard work this hospital is putting in. And for those of us that are Shriners to all the doctors, nurses and any one else caring for these children we thank you, and appreciate what good work you do.
Our prayers are with all the works so that they may continue to work well and hard, Our prayers are on the children that they may recover quickly and be home with their families soon.
