From the East

Hello to all my Brothers and Sisters,

I hope that all are doing well and enjoying the summer.  I hope and pray that all is well with everyone and your family. We are more than half way through with my year as Worshipful Master, and not sure where the first half of the year has gone, or if I can remember it all, but surely know that I have enjoyed my time and  met a lot of new people.  Finally found the names out to many that knew mine.  I have also gotten the opportunity to meet a lot of the older members of the lodge.  Finally I gave my first 50 year Membership pin to Brother Husbands and that was special as that was my first time doing the ceremony and I think it went better than I had practiced it. We have been able to give out a few other years of service awards; I had others do the presentation as I was not certain I could do them correctly.  Thank you to the Brothers who have helped me learn and have helped  to build my confidence.

To other Brothers that have not been to lodge either this whole year or for a while, I want to invite you to a stated meeting, or a 3rd Saturday breakfast, or even to one of our catechism practices.  The newer Brothers are looking for answers on the history of Fellowship lodge,  as am I and the upcoming officers. And you, the older members have the answers.

Currently we have raised this year 5 Brothers we have 5 Fellow Crafts and 7 Entered Apprentices, and 2 petitions waiting for their time to come for their balloting.  So as you can see we have been busy and active this year.  We have a few fundraisers coming up and we surely could use a lot of support.  We need our roof replaced and our A/C units so please be on the look out for that information coming up soon.  This situation needs to be corrected quickly and currently our funds are nowhere near where we need them to be.

Lastly I want to welcome Mystic Chapter Order of the Eastern Star to our building. They come to us in need of shelter and the Craft has opened our doors to assist our Brothers and Sisters of Mystic.

I look forward to meeting more members of Fellowship Lodge, and I look forward to learning more of our history. Thank you for this amazing opportunity and thank you for the endless memories I have made and will look forward to making for the rest of the year.

Fraternally,

Junior Torres, WM

From the West

Brothers, I would like to thank everyone for a great half of the year.  I would also like to thank my Lodge for electing me as their Senior Warden, and giving me a chance to attend Grand Lodge.  It was an amazing experience, and I look forward to attending them in the future.  I’m in the process of putting together a fund raiser to help with our building fund.  We will be holding a Chili Cook-off Challenge.  The date is yet to be determined, but will be in September. In our next trestle board article I will provide more details.  I will also include information on how to enter the contest.  Finally, petitions coming in have slowed down, but we have received a few within the past month.  So, if you know of any good men, please invite them to one of our functions.  Also, if you need anything please give one of your officers a call, or send us an e-mail.

  Fraternally,

From the South

My Brothers and Sisters,

I hope all is well with each of you and your families.  First, please join me in welcoming Mystic Chapter Order of the Eastern Star to our family at the Lodge.  Last night at the Palma Ceia Eastern Star meeting, Steve Edson and I spoke to them about our Bowling Tournament on September 18th, and I must say they were very excited about it and from the sounds of it ready to take on the other Ladies Organizations.  Alright Brothers, it's time to get our teams ready.  Remember that we have a family night coming up on June 29th.  I do believe that is all I have for you this month.

For you that bowl, we are looking to have bowling teams of both Brothers and Sisters.  Brothers against Brothers and Sisters against Sisters.  Open to all in Zone 6 comprising of Masonic districts 20, 21, 22, and 23 to be held on September 18th.  Flyers with location and time to follow at a later time, so get your teams together and practice if you want. This is sure to be a social fun time and fellowship amongst Brothers and Sisters for all.

So be careful on the Fourth of July weekend and may God bless you all.

Brothers,

First I want to welcome Mystic Chapter #110 OES, who became part of our family meeting at Fellowship on June 21st.

Masonic Leadership Training classes will be held on Saturdays in July, August, September, and October, which are open to all Master Masons. The classes are designed to provide training for all chairs and enable a Master Mason on the sidelines to be elected to the East with confidence.  The present officers are expected to attend the classes, but open to all Master Masons who desire the education.  Some of the topics to be covered are duties of the elected and appointed positions, setting up and maintaining a budget, proper procedure of handling petitions and candidates thru the degrees.  Check the schedule in the announcements area for dates and times.

Delinquent dues notices are going out, so if you have not yet paid your dues please do so before you get your notice.
